A permissive software license for things you don't care about.
Take it and Like it Public Licence v3
You're free to copy and distribute verbatim and modified versions of this license document.
Please change the license name if distributing modified versions.
- You can use this software for whatever purpose.
- The developers aren't responsible for anything that misbehaves.
- Relicensing is permitted.
TL;DR: Do whatever you want with this, but it isn't anyone else's fault if anything goes wrong.
Copy the above license document into a LICENSE file and add it to your code or with any binaries.
Or just click the download button and add that file to your code.
If you want to, put this disclaimer in your software somewhere:
This program is free software, licensed under the Take it and Like it Public License. That means you can do whatever you want with the program or its source code, but without any warranty. Visit that1m8head.github.io/tlpl for more information.
The latest version of the TLPL is recommended, though I won't stop you from using versions 2 or 1.
It's important to note that the TLPL is not an official license, and is intended for use with works that probably don't need to be protected under copyleft.
If software freedom is your goal, and you care quite a bit about your program, you should not use the TLPL, and use something like the GNU GPL instead.
The general idea behind the TLPL was inspired by WTFPL.
